Sockeye Salmon also use our area to spawn in and can be found in good numbers during most summers.
Sockeye are not as big as Chinook Salmon and run from 6 lbs to 10 lbs. Many people consider Sockeye Salmon the best eating of all salmon. Grilled, baked, fried or smoked these fish are delicious.
Sockeye Salmon are also know as Red Salmon. They are usually found in big schools and are a lot of fun to catch. Depending on where you are fishing the limit can be up to 5 fish per day and many days the boat will limit out.

There are not many Sockeye Salmon runs in the lower 48 and we are fortunate to have the biggest. These fish are fun to catch and are amazing fish to put on your table.
